In 1934, the Nazi’s occupied Vienna. Jessica’s grandparents, Dr. Wilhelm and Helen Rothman, were so integrated in Vienna’s high society that they never thought they would be touched by Hitler’s activities. By the time they realized they were in danger from the Nazi regime, it was too late for them to emigrate. Helen launched one of the most devious smuggling rings of the war out of her dining room, a ring referred to as the Opera Dinner Club. For a year, the club helped Jewish families move their wealth and valuables to London. Then it came to a tragic end. Its 1986 and Jessica Helen Rothman is on a quest to solve the family mystery of who betrayed her grandparents. Mrs. Melinda Brooks is the last living member of the club and Jessica’s only chance at solving the mystery.
