The controlled demolition of a derelict building did not go as planned. Vanderkampt Demolition’s explosives brought the building down on top of Carolyn “Cari” Walters, the ex-wife of the deceased Alexei Vanderkamp. Detective Eric Stockton is going in circles on this one. Everyone claims to have loved Cari but someone did arrange for her to be in the building when it fall. Here are his suspects in the order we’ve met them:

• Miguel Contreras, co-owner of business, on his way to citizenship
• Caramon Andovar, Cari’s current love. Or is he?
• Alexandra “Sandra” Vanderkamp, wife of the company’s founder
• Grady Thompson, long-time employee
